Hey there! I’m Kim Watt, a compassionate and empathetic therapist who helps people navigate life’s challenges with warmth, understanding, and a little humor when needed.
I work with teens, families, couples, women (especially those going through midlife and menopause), and LGBTQIA individuals, offering a safe and supportive space for healing from trauma including church trauma (yes, church trauma is real), growth, and finding peace.
Life can be messy, complicated, and downright exhausting at times. Whether you’re managing stress, recovering from a toxic relationship, working through family struggles, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself or your partner, I’m here to walk alongside you.
My holistic approach blends evidence based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and inner child healing—all tailored to fit your unique journey. As a Certified Solution Focused Life Coach, I also help you develop practical strategies to create real lasting change.
I’m deeply committed to making therapy a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. With a strong focus on cultural competence and social justice, I ensure that our work honors your lived experiences.
Beyond the therapy room, I love speaking and educating on mental health, emotional well-being, healing trauma including religious trauma and narcissistic relationships, and personal growth. My goal is to help individuals and communities build resilience and embrace healing in ways that feel authentic and empowering.
I’m also a therapist who has a therapist. I don’t believe I’m above therapy. I’m right here with you, working through my own wounds and blind spots. This is why I can truly hold space for yours. The more I heal, the more room I have to create for you. I’m a therapist who walks beside you, not above you. We’re in this together.
On a personal note, I’m a wife of 27 years. I’ve known my husband since he was 10 years old. We played on the same basketball team in elementary school, way before there were such things as girls’ and women’s sports teams. I’m also a proud mom of 4 (one teenager, three adult kids, and one soon-to-be son-in-law whom I already claim as family) and a dog mom to three goofy pups. As my youngest gets ready to spread her wings, my husband and I are rediscovering life as almost-empty nesters—soaking up family time, watching softball games, spending time in nature, binge-watching our favorite shows, laughing a lot, and for me, always having a book close by.
If you’re ready to create a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and a little less chaotic, let’s connect. I’d love to support you on your journey!
